  • Eugenia Stanley

Yá’át’ééh, Shí éi Eugenia M Stanley Yinishyé.  I am Tábąąhá (Waters Edge Clan) born for Tódich'ii'nii (Bitter Water Clan).  I have 4 beautiful children with my loving husband, Derwin Stanley and we reside on the Navajo Nation in Northern, New Mexico.

I have been weaving now for going on 15 years. My mother was my instructor who introduced warping and basic block textile weaving to me. From there I decided I wanted to show my creative side to weaving.

I dreamt of many designs and patterns that I turned into masterpieces.  Teaching myself many new designs, while also being self taught at weaving rug dresses, keychain rugs, rug purses, pillows and now round rugs. I am also a self taught carder and spinner from sheep wool into yarn.  Which I use in many of my weavings.

I have many creations from my weavings and sewing, to collaborations with others that shows you how much love and passion I have for what I do. Every one of them, from the intricacy of my designs, tells you a little story about me

  • "My artwork is a visual tool meant for educating the people. I explore the teachings from Navajo creation stories to remind myself of how to find the answers & solutions to life's problems. The foundation of all my recent paintings derive from navajo healing ceremonies, therefore the beauty way & protection way can be found in every one of my pieces, as well as in my signature."

Randy began focusing on art as a profession in 2001 after receiving a degree in graphic design and began painting professionally in 2007. He showcases the beauty way, protection way, and hip hop undertones in all of his work and is inspired by colors and hues of heightened states of awareness. He transforms acrylic and aerosol paint into stimulating abstract landscapes of time travel, rainbow walking, prayer, reflection, and soul remembrance manifested from the spirit realm. Each brush stroke is a prayer and moving meditation of creation from spirit to canvas. His intention is to uplift one’s spirit to new dimensions of spirituality utilizing Neo-contemporary Native arts as the vehicle to promote healing and consciousness.
